The Equine Experience: Immerse Working Holiday And Horse Guide Internship Program
Alongside our trails, we also offer unforgettable working holiday and learning experience based out of Tswehe Wildlife Reserve in Botswana. The experience is unique as it combines learning about horsemanship and horses as well as experiencing wilderness and wildlife of a remote region in South East Botswana. The duration varies from a min. of two weeks to 6 months.
Our working holiday and internship program is offered in two stages and a selective, hands-on opportunity designed for individuals passionate about horses, wilderness, wildlife guiding, and personal development. Depending on experience, future career vision and growth, participants may progress into our advanced Safari Horse Guide Internship Track, where they learn to guide horseback safaris in big game territory.
General Equine Working Holiday (Entry-Level):
For individuals looking to gain foundational experience in equine care, trail guiding, horsemanship, and outdoor tourism operations.
Safari Horse Guide Internship (Advanced Level):
For experienced interns or riders who have spent a longer period with us and are wanting to progress into working directly with horses in big 5 wildlife areas. The focus area of the mentorship/training will be on horseback guiding, wildlife tracking, and field safety.
Spaces are limited and strict selection criteria apply. Please email us for more information on the learning content and training costs. Participation fee per month includes accommodation, wifi, 2 town trips/month to shop own groceries. Occasional non-horse additional game drives/walks, underground wildlife hide visit.
